- Use the latest version of your web browser
- Make sure your Windows security updates are up-to-date - the best way is to switch on the automatic update feature
- Keep your software up-to-date - many updates include security fixes
- If you have online banking your bank may offer free anti-virus software
- Make sure you only download software from the vendor's website or a reputable website like download.com
- Most free software doesn't include technical support, but there are lots of support online
- Make sure all protection software is regularly updated
- Scan your computer at least once a week
- You can also get infected by malware hidden on plug-in devices like memory sticks, so scan them too
- NEVER click on emailed weblinks - type the company web address into the browser window

Maintenance - £50 Flat Fee
It is important to maintain your computer on a regular basis to help prevent system crashes and to optimise your computers performance. Computer systems can become clogged due to the constant installing of programs, internet browsing and general day to day use. You may have noticed already that your computer isn't as fast as it used to be. I will perform a PC health check to optimise your computer system to the best of it's ability.

- Remove cached internet files and cookies
- Remove unused programs
- Clean and optimise the Windows registry
- Stop software from auto starting unnecessarily
- Defragment the harddrives
- Make sure Windows updates are installed
- Update or install Anti-virus software
- Physically clean the PC inside and out
- Advise on any upgrades
